The National Motor Museum is heading to Bunnings Warehouse at Windsor Gardens to host activity sessions for the 2018 Book Week. Explore the work of ‘Tom the Outback Mailman’ and see the scale model mail truck!

As part of Book Week the National Motor Museum will visit Bunnings Warehouse, Windsor Gardens to discuss the life of legendary Tom Kruse and his famous mail run up the Birdsville Track delivering letters and supplies to the people of the Outback.

Ian Reed the National Motor Museum Education Manager will take students through a hands-on activity where they can drive a scale model replica of the 1936 Leyland Badger which Tom used from 1936 to 1957 driving from Marree to Birdsville.
