  • Last night, National Motor Museum - Australia Senior Museum Officer (and part-time secret agent), Dane, attended the ASO Plays James Bond concert at the Festival Centre. Following an incredible performance by musicians and vocalists alike, Dane snuck backstage to check on Bond's DB2/4 (kindly provided by citizen-collector and Bay to Birdwood supporter David Maher). The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will play the music from all your favourite James Bond 007 movies, including Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever, Nobody Does It Better, Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only. Starring vocalists iOTA, Prinnie Stevens and Brendan Maclean and conducted by Nicholas Buc at the Festival Theatre, Saturday 16 February. Tickets are still available for tonight's performance ! Get along and live your own secret agent fantasy!
  • Thanks to citizen-collector and regular Bay to Birdwood participant, David Maher, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra has on stage at the Festival Theatre for its James Bond Live on Stage show tonight (Friday 15) and tomorrow night (Saturday 16) one gorgeous 1959 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII, the car that James Bond drove in Ian Fleming's Goldfinger novel (but for the Bond-nerds out there, not what he drove in the film!). Congratulations also to Chau Ngyuen, winner of two tickets to the James Bond Live on Stage show. Keep an eye on our FB posts for future competitions.   • The good folk from Artlab Australia were at the Museum recently. These conservation experts provide the Museum with practical advice, expertise, training and - as can be seen in the video - hours of hard work, on the care of the collection. Check out Artlab Australia on FB. It is an amazing SA organisation with a national and international reputation for excellence in the field of conservation, preservation and restoration.
  • Happy 1st Bugatti-versarry. We are celebrating one year since the Bugatti Veyron arrived at the National Motor Museum. Thousands have made their way up to the Museum to view this very special vehicle. Are you one of them? Share your story with us if you are.
