Peramangk Country

The Peramangk Peoples are the traditional land owners of the Adelaide Hills, including the town of Birdwood.

The National Motor Museum acknowledges that its buildings stand upon the ancient land of the Peramangk Nation. It is important that we work with the living Peramangk and together care for Country as it has been done for Thousands of Years and for all generations to come.

We also acknowledge and pay our respects to Elders Past and Living today as the Custodians of this ancient land.

Visitors should be aware that the National Motor Museum displays images and names of deceased people that may cause sadness or distress to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
