Rendezvous Vehicle Entry
Pre-entries have now closed.
On the day vehicle entries from 9am.
If you are a previous entrant you will notice that we have reduced the registration fee this year. In line with this, only the commemorative event poster will be available on entry to the event.
From the 50s, 60s and 70s we have the hottest vehicles that take you back to an era of motoring when style was everything! It’s all about icons like the curves of the FJ Holden or the sleek fins and chrome of the Cadillac. Then there are the custom street rods, the might muscle cards and of course the motorcycles and scooters.
The relationship between vehicles and rock and roll is one of the longest running in pop culture history. From Ike Turner’s 1951 tune “Rocket 88” (arguably one of the first hit rock and roll songs) which was about a high powered Oldsmobile through to recent commercials with their big guitar driven theme songs (think AC/DC’s Thunderstruck on the Holden Ute ads), there is an undeniable link between the music and the vehicles.
Where would we be without Mustang Sally by Wilson Pickett or the Beach Boy’s Little Deuce Coupe? Or how about the Ted Mulry Gang’s Jump in My Car? From the 1950s to today, motor vehicles of all makes, types and eras have inspired musicians and song writers.
Rock & Roll Rendezvous celebrates all vehicles of the Rock & Roll era with prizes awarded for the best and runner-up vehicles in the categories of Original and Modified.
Please ring 8568 4022 if you wish to pre-book a vehicle club to ensure that you are parked together.
