Scalextrics and Ramp Racers

The History Trust of South Australia’s National Motor Museum is committed to keeping our visitors, our people and our volunteers safe.

As restrictions ease we may have to make changes to programs to continue to keep you and other visitors safe. Please continue to contact us with education inquiries and stay in touch to find out about our digital education programs as they develop.

Our large Scalextrics track allows students to safely experience competitive racing and our Ramp Racer track encourages them to design and build the fastest Lego car ever!

Suitable for all ages

Our Scalextric track resembles a Grand Prix race track.  Up to six students can race at a time, playing in a tournament or ‘last man standing’ (where the aim is to not crash and be the the final vehicle on the track). At the same time Ramp Racers gets students designing and building Lego Hot Rods, dragsters or super-cars and race against their peers down a steep track. This program encourages participants to think about aerodynamics, weight and design as they attempt to create the fastest vehicle. They will learn as they go too, modifying and improving their vehicle each time they race.

Available upon group booking.

Cost: $10 per child.
