Becoming a Volunteer

The National Motor Museum at Birdwood provides opportunities for volunteers willing to donate their time and they don't have to be a car buff to get involved.

We welcome volunteers who are interested in assisting with the preservation, documentation and interpretation of Australia's motoring history.

Volunteers are involved across several work areas, including cataloguing the collection, vehicle cleaning, gardening, research, assisting with education and school holiday programs and assisting at special events. We are currently looking for volunteers interested in helping out at our events, including regular fixtures such as the Bay to Birdwood or Rock and Roll Rendezvous,  or other areas such as research, library or grounds and facilities. If you are interested in helping out at events, please contact the Events Coordinator on 08 8568 4022 or for other projects ph: 08 8568 4006 or email motor@history.sa.gov.au
