The Bay to Birdwood is the largest historic motoring event of its kind in the world. This year the Bay to Birdwood Classic on Sunday 27 September will see over 1500 vehicles manufactured between 1956 and 31 December 1978 make their way from Adelaide Shores to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood. You could say the Bay to Birdwood is a museum on the move, a cavalcade of extremely rare and special vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses which all South Australians can see on the last Sunday in September.
Early risers can join the vehicles and their owners for breakfast at Adelaide Shores from 6am, others might prefer to pick their favourite vantage point with the family and friends, pack a picnic and watch the run as it goes past. But why not take a drive through the Adelaide Hills and join us at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood from 10am for a whole day of family friendly entertainment, including live bands, fashions in the field, food and wine, retro retail therapy and of course, the vehicles and the museum?
