Bricktopia was a LEGO® Fan Event presented by the National Motor Museum in conjunction with the Southern Bricks LEGO Users Group. It was an About Time South Australian History Festival event, celebrating transport across time.On the 17-18 May 2014 builders from all over Australia converged on Adelaide, displaying their creations from all different genres of LEGO. Star Wars™, trains, castles, planes, buildings, vehicles and much more was on display for the public to admire. It was the largest display of LEGO Fan built creations to be seen in Adelaide for many years.SPECIAL GUESTAustralia’s own LEGO Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught, was at Bricktopia displaying one of his amazing creations. Ryan is one of only 13 LEGO Certified Professionals in the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. Check out Ryan’s work at www.thebrickman.comEXHIBITORS=LEGO FANS25 exhibitors from around the country, from as far as Wandina in Western Australia displayed their creations. Exhibitors range from 6 to 60 years of age.Many of the exhibits will be My Own Creations or MOCs which were made by LEGO Fans using their imagination to create something without instructions. Trains, both moving and static, pirate ships and vehicles of all shapes and sizes were on show. Some exhibits had moving elements, such as a fire trucks ladder moving into position to rescue someone, or a train speeding around a track.
